I lead design at Heal.me, a wellness booking and management platform for holistic practitioners and clients.

On iOS, Android and desktop, striving to create the best in wellness platform experience. I also worked on leveling up our marketing & brand designs, providing client communications & reminders on and off platform.

Improving the practitioner experience

Heal.me was originally built with desktop in mind. By 2022, we realized after running user research that we missed important nuanced use cases such as practitioners looking at their calendar and seeing if they can fit someone in while on call. (Large view, easy to look at calendar while booking.) I worked with the iOS Android and desktop team to improve our user experience on all platforms, to not only add new features, but to transform both platforms and create a consistency between them. We have completely audited and improved our core experience, from the booking experience to client management and user onboarding.

Mobile features

I worked with the iOS and Android team to create a new native companion app to empower practitioners to manage their practice on the go.

Professional photoshoot

Upgraded profiles

Along side the profile redesigns, I collaborated with the team to suggest upgrading practitioners profiles with a professional photoshoot. The new images were more visually striking and conveyed the each practitioner's services in a more compelling way. This resulted in a noticeable uptick in sales and positive customer feedback.

Design system components

We kickstarted a design system to establish consistency and accelerate the design and development process for other teams working on mobile. It defines basic styles, like typography, spacing, and color, and cross-platform components.

Summary

During my time with Heal.me, I had the opportunity to own the entire design process for a diverse range of user types and help solve their problems. While the work could be challenging at times, it was also incredibly rewarding to be able to create a product that assists it's users in a meaningful way.

Since the redesign went live bookings have increased by 200%.
